Pupil Absence/Appointments
Please contact us before 8.30 am on each day of absence/appointments. Absence is a safeguarding concern. Lack of notification results in a text alert querying why your child is absent. You can phone on 01489 892256, choosing Option 1, or use the relevant email address below. Please also use these emails to report any early collections / late arrivals due to appointments:

Ties/Blazers - Friday 8 September

With the continued warm weather expected tomorrow (Friday), we can confirm that pupils are not expected to wear their blazers during the day. We do require pupils to bring blazers with them to school as equipment is generally kept in pockets and this could lead to pupils not having the right equipment during the day. There is no requirement for pupils to wear or bring their ties.

Uniform

We would like to remind you that, as per the uniform policy, pupils are expected to have clean, short fingernails with no artificial nails or nail products. Please can we ask that you use this weekend to rectify any nails that may have been left on following the summer break. 

Jewellery 

We have seen a growing number of pupils wearing jewellery. The College policy states:

·          one plain ring

·          no other wristwear other than a wristwatch

·          Earrings - a small single stud is allowed in one or both ears. No other facial jewellery may be worn.

·          No necklaces, chains or beads etc

From Monday 11 January, any jewellery that does not meet the above criteria will be confiscated and pupils will receive a tick on their proud card. Please encourage your children to leave all jewellery at home so that it is not lost, damaged or confiscated.

Open Evening

Please find attached details of our Open Evening which is taking place on Thursday 14 September 2023 from 5.30 pm - 8.30 pm. The college will close early for all pupils, at 12.40 pm on this date. Transport operators have been notified of this.

Denmead Minibus
