Employee Training Cost Recovery Policy
We believe in investing in our employee's growth and development because your skills and knowledge are essential to our success. To continue providing high-quality training opportunities, we’ve implemented a cost recovery policy to ensure these investments are sustainable.
The training cost recovery policy means that if you receive company-sponsored training and choose to leave the company within a certain period, you may be required to repay the training costs. This policy helps us manage our training investments effectively.

Objective: This policy outlines the terms and conditions for SunWater Spa to cover upfront job training expenses on behalf of employees. In the event of an employee's voluntary resignation or termination for cause within 6 months of completing the training, the company reserves the right to recover these costs through payroll deductions.
Scope: This policy applies to all employees of SunWater Spa who participate in job training programs sponsored or approved by the company.
Cost Coverage: SunWater Spa will cover the upfront expenses associated with approved job training programs. These expenses may include but are not limited to tuition fees, travel expenses, accommodation, and other reasonable costs directly related to the training. The company will pay these costs directly, which will be reflected as a benefit to the employee.
Recovery Conditions: If an employee voluntarily resigns or is terminated for cause within 6 months of successfully completing the training program, the company reserves the right to recover the training costs. The recovery will be initiated through payroll deductions from the employee's final paycheck. The deduction amount will not exceed the equivalent of the minimum wage for hours worked on the last paycheck.
Repayment Process: Upon separation from the company within the stipulated 6-month period, the employee will be notified in writing of the training costs to be deducted from their final paycheck. The deduction will be calculated based on the actual training costs incurred by the company.
Exceptions: SunWater Spa may, at its discretion, waive the recovery requirement in exceptional circumstances, such as medical reasons, family emergencies, or other extenuating circumstances.
Policy Review: This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Any necessary amendments will be made in consultaton with the Spa Director.
Employee Acknowledgment: By participating in job training sponsored or approved by SunWater Spa, employees acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of this cost recovery policy
