Any employee actions, activities, or relationships that may appear to disrupt and undermine the trust built in our workplace will be reviewed to determine a course of action to restore that trust.
Actions that may be considered as a Conflict of Interest :
Employees’ ability to use their position with the company to their personal advantage
Employees engaging in activities that will bring direct or indirect profit to a competitor
Employees using connections obtained through the company for their own private purposes
Employees using company equipment or means to support an external business
Employees acting in ways that may compromise the company’s legality
Hiring a contractor that is related to an employee
Hiring an employee that is related to an employee
Using company equipment for personal use
Using employee labor for personal purposes
Procedure for when a Conflict of Interest is detected:
Leadership has the responsibility to be aware of potential conflicts of interest within their departments
When an employee suspects that a conflict of interest exists, the matter is brought to the attention of their manager and it is discussed with the leadership team to determine what corrective actions might be taken and will respond to the employee in a timely manner.
In cases where an employee deliberately conceals a Conflict of Interest, this may invoke a disciplinary action that can include termination
Unauthorized duplication of copyrighted computer software violates the law and is contrary to our organization’s standards of conduct. We disapprove of such copying and recognize the following principles as a basis for preventing its occurrences:
We will neither engage in nor tolerate the making or using of unauthorized software copies under any circumstances.
We will provide legally acquired software to meet the legitimate software needs in a
timely fashion and in sufficient quantities for all our computers.
We will comply with all license or purchase terms regulating the use of any software
we acquire or use.
We will enforce strong internal controls to prevent the making or using of unauthorized software copies, including effective measures to verify compliance with these standards and appropriate disciplinary measures for violation of these standards.
I will not compete directly with Sunwater Spa by soliciting clients acquired by SunWater Spa during my employment. I will not ask for information or give personal information to guests to gain personal business contacts.
