You are the foundation on which we build success and we strive to uphold quality standards of professionalism. We support each other by being mindful and respectful of each other and build trust with care and respect. Each staff member is responsible for upholding policies and procedures for scheduled shifts and to report to leadership any scheduling issues. This is especially important when a staff member can not make it on time or show up for their scheduled shift.
Protocol for Time and Late Arrivals
You are expected to arrive on time for your scheduled shift.
You are required to notify your department manager or the manager on duty as soon as possible prior to the shift if they are going to be late.
If you are consistently late you will be subject to the supportive coaching system and/or written notice.
Staff meetings are mandatory. Get a manager’s approval if you absolutely cannot make it. We will give you at least a week's notice before the meeting.
If you cannot come in because of an emergency, please do your best to give your manager 4 hours notice so they can try to fill your shift.
If you fail to report to work, you have 24 hours to report to management. Beyond 24 hours you are considered a No Call/No show
No Call / No Show Procedure
When you fail to show up for work without calling in to report your absence, your manager will call you within a 4-hour window of your shift starting time to check-in. If your manager is unable to reach you and you do not respond then arrangements will be made for your shift and your next day’s shift to be covered.
You have 24 hours to report to your manager and give a reason for your absence. Documentation may be required such as submitting a doctor’s note.
Your manager may or may not excuse you for your absence and a supportive coaching session or written notice may result.
If after 24 hours you do not communicate with your manager, you will be suspended for a time specificied by your manager.
If after 48 hours there is no contact, then the employee will be considered: NO CALL/NO SHOW and be voluntarily terminated.
