Time Capsules

The main idea that guided my artwork was the prompts given. For the first drawing I drew a self portrait by looking in a mirror. For the still life, I drew a bed with a draped blanket over it. For the last one, I just drew a corner and made the inside very shaded to add dimension.

For my work, I used graphite pencils for all of them. I drew the outlines of everything, and used a lot of shading for the art to be complete and have more shape.

For the self portrait, I had to look in a mirror and sketch my face. This one was tough because faces are very specific to each person and it took a while to draw features similar to my face. For the still life, I drew a bed because I was feeling tired and that was just the first thing that came to mind. I added the blanket on top because I like a lot of blankets. Finally, for the corner I just thought of a corner. I used to draw corners like that all the time when I was little when I got bored so that one did not take a lot of creativity.
