Colored Candy

Artist statement:

The main idea that guided my artwork was the prompt given and out assignment to draw still life candy in an array of placements. The work was made by looking at the photo of the candy and first sketching it out in graphite and adding shadows. I then used marker on the lollipops and tootsie roll and used white pen to add high lights. For the smarties I used color pencils. I had to revise a lot with sizing and shading to make shadows and dimensions look right
