Scratchboard

The main idea that guided my artwork was overall trying to recreate the sunset as accurately as possible. It was my first time using scratchboard so I was not sure what to expect, so I kept it simple and attempted to scratch exactly what I saw. I used scratchboard and a scratcher to make this project. I spent a lot of time trying to get used to the material and how to use it to create texture and shadow, as well as soft looking movement in the clouds.
