Linoleum

The main idea that guided my artwork was trying to make the perfect print. I chose to do a picture of the Eiffel Tower because I really liked how much contrast and it had and how defined the lines looked. I also loved the way it looked on the map because it gives off a travel feel. I used sharpie to make my design on paper, then carved a linoleum block. then used ink and printing paper to print them out. It took a very long time to get the "perfect print" so I definitely went through a lot of paper and having to re-carve certain parts so they would not have ink on them.
