Donate Life

The main idea that guided my artwork was trying to create an optimistic and eye catching poster to convince people to participate in organ and tissue donation. We had to be creative and thing of a catchy slogan as well as a design, so I thought of something simple and easy to remember but still encouraging.

This work was made by using blue and black watercolor to create the sky and green for grass. I used graphite to get familiar with the placement of the fireworks, then used marker and color pencil to fill it in and black sharpie marker to make it bolder. Finally, I used thin markers to add the words

I spent a lot of time on the sky, because I added a bit too much black to the sky than I wanted so that took some revising. I also spent a lot on the fireworks and trying to add dimension and making them more bold
