Pure Contour

Artist Statement

For these drawings, I used the pure contour drawing technique. I tried to use dark lines without any sketch marks or shading. The idea behind this was to create a shoe using observations. My favorite one out of these three is the frontal view of a shoe because I think it is the most realistic but also has the cleanest lines. The hardest part of these drawings was creating depth in the photo without shading.
