Artist Statement

For this piece, I created a design surrounding a heart tattoo, incorporating it to fit the competition through the slogan, that mentions "permanent," fitting the tattooed arm as the main focus of the poster. I chose to incorporate light line work throughout the whole piece, so it is quite subtle, however I find the main focus of the piece, the arm, is drawn attention to through the rays coming out of the heart and word "impact." In terms of text, I chose a more complicated font to add some interest to the piece, however to keep it consistent with the subtle theme I filled in lines similar to those in the rest of the piece.
