Surrealism

The main idea that guided my artwork was the prompt given in class which was to create a collage and then a painting based on the collage. To create to actual collage I used images from a magazine that I cut out and taped to another piece of paper and for the painting I used acrylic paint. The painting itself isn't exactly the same as the collage but you can see inspiration from the collage in the painting. I revised my original plan to make it more unique by switching some of the items from the collage to the painting.
