Donate Life Design

The main idea that guided my art work was the prompts given to us in class and the "organ and tissue donation" piece that needed to be added. I used those two and constructed two different ideas but ultimately went with the first one because it was the one that I knew would be the most creative of the two. I then created the piece above and I think it turned out the way I had imagined it would. For this project I used acrylic paint as my main material but I used graphite to sketch out my design and sharpie to write the statement I also used painters tape to create the 1 inch boarder around the edge of the painting, I also used bristol board as my paper. I ended up experimenting with this piece because I had used acrylic paint many times before but never on bristol board so I got to experiment with using acrylic on bristol board. I also experimented with color and mixing colors as well.
