Something else pinch pot

Plain and beautiful with a foot and anything,

To start my project I went in with a general idea that I wanted a set that were the same. With the prompts I was given: To make three pinch pots: 1 plain and beautiful with a foot, something other, and anything. I used my plain and beautiful and anything and made a matching set of little bowls. The something other idea came to me randomly and I decided to go through with it. I started with my matching set of bowls and I got a good size lump of clay and split them if half as equally as possible using the scale to weigh out the two lumps of clay I had so I could make them as close to the same size as possible. Then I started the pinching process with each. I pinched them until they were the desired thickness that I wanted and then shaped them out to be a little more circular. Once I had the shape down and they looked pretty much equal I made the feet. All i did to make the feet was section off 6 little chunks of clay (3 on each pot) that were similar in size and then I rolled them into balls. I then slipped and scored them onto the bottom of the pots using water and a pokey tool. For the snake mug I used pretty much the same techniques except I only used one lump of clay instead of two. Once I had the mug constructed I added the handle by rolling out a small coil and slipping and scoring it on. I did the same for the head but I just shaped it differently and then I used a needle tool to add the "scales". Once they were finished I left them out to dry. Then they were bisque fired. Once they were fired I then used HF 26 for the two matching sets and glaze SM 44 for the snake mug. I glazed three coats on all three pots and then finally they went into the kiln again for a glaze fire.
