To start I rolled with the prompt that was given in class and I grabbed some clay and rolled it through the slab roller. I found a measurement that worked for the size cups I wanted and I used that measurement for each of my cups that I made. I then created the "membrane" and wrapped around the tennis ball container which is what I used to make the mugs themselves and I repeated this process for all of the cups I made. Once I had the cup done I attached a base on to each one and for the ones that have handles I cut them out using another slab and slipped and scored them on. for the ones that have flower prints I used floral lace and a rolling pin to roll the designs on the slabs before rolling them up. Once they were done I let them dry and they were bisque fired. Once they were fired I used the cherry blossom glaze for my light pink cups, weeping plum for my darker pink mug and I used the turquoise and light blue glaze for the formative mug and finally cobalt and purple for the other dark blue mugs. I applied three coats of each on all the cups and put them away for glaze firing. I then photographed them and the process was done.
