Mixed Media

The ideas that are visually evident in my work is that I took the assignment given and applied it to a picture that I took of trees in my back yard. I chose to make what I made because I wanted to see how a picture of something outside could evolve using more than one material I also thought it would fit the picture as well. I used black and white charcoal as well as india ink to complete this piece. I experimented with value on this because I used ink wash and ink so it was making things dark/light based on the saturation of the ink in the wash or just the ink itself. My next steps could be using the same materials but for a different drawing maybe a still life or a portrait.
