Multiple pinch pots

Glazed tower before firing

Final tower.

To start I sketched out the drawing of my pots using the prompt of 5 pinch pots which were attached in some way. I figured out which ones were going where and how I was going to stack them all together and how I was going to design them. I then started constructing all 5 pots. I made 4 pots that were about the same size so when it came time to attach them it was even. The 5th one i made a little smaller and less deep so it was sturdy (it was the bottom one). I then slipped and score all 4 pots (2 of them together-creating 2 different tiers of the tower). I then made the individual pieces (the details) and attached those on individually. Once that was finished I slipped and scored each tier together using a silver tool with teeth and the slip. Once that was finished I poked a hole in the bottom of the tower (too keep it from exploding in the kiln and I only needed one since I cut the bottoms of the tiers off before I attached them to make it so there was only 1 air pocket) and left it out to be dry and then get fired. After the bisque firing I picked out my glazes and glazed the 3 tiers. for the bottom tier I used SM 21 (dark blue) for the middle tier I used SM 20 (light blue) and the top tier I used SM 29 (blue green). After 3 coats of glazing it went into the kiln for the second time and then was finished and I took my final photos.
