In this artwork, I was told to create a wall relief using any material.

The materials I used were carving foam, glue, and acrylic paint.

To begin with, I thought of some ideas, once I had the idea I wanted I started to map out the design on a block of foam that I glued to another block of foam. Once I had the general shape decided, I started to carve away the foam using wood carving tools. when I had the basic flow of the canyon, don, I when back in with a finer wood carving tool and added the detail that were missing. After the caving aspect was finished, I decided to paint it only two colors. i when with white and blue. For the white base paint I wanted to be matte, I had to do like 4 coat to fully get rid of the small foam hole forming once the paint dried. Then, after the white dried, I started to add the blue river flowing through the canyon. I decided to use three shads of blue I'm the river to add more variety. After I had put on enough coats of the blue paint and let it dry, all I had to do was add my signature.
