In this art, I made a plaster cast of my hand as the main form of my artwork.
The materials I used were alginate, plaster, dremel tool, and clay tools.
I started this work by finding the right container to form my hand mold in, then I mixed the alginate into the water to create the mold. Once the alginate was mixed in, OI put my hadn't in to create the mold and let the mixture set. after it set, I removed my hand and that created the mold. After that I added the mixed plaster to the mold, after the plaster had set I broke the alginate down and took out the hand. Preceding that, I cleaned up the hand using the dremel tool. once that hand had been cleaned up, I started to create the base for the hand. Finally, I connected the two together using wooden dowels glued.
