9. Annual accounts

A full set of accounts have, for each year been presented to the AGM and throughout the years the Society has remained solvent. The earliest record of the formally laid out accounts is 1950.

In most years the commission from the exchange packet has equalled or exceeded the amount received from subscriptions. It is interesting to note that in the pre decimal years, i.e. pre 1971, how often the 1/2d appeared in the accounts due to the commission received from the exchange packet.
