5. Subscriptions

From 1948 to 2000 (52 years) there have been only 8 changes of subscriptions as shown on the right.

There have, however, been various classes of membership during the years. The entrance fee increased from 2/6 to 15p before being cancelled at the end of the 1970/71 season. In 1956 a youth subscription for 16 to 18 year olds was introduced at 2/6. This increased to 50p by 1971 when the age limit changed to 13 to 18. 50p rose to £2.00 by 2000 which remains to date.

On the 1st January 1972 an elderly category (O.A.P.) rate was introduced of half subscription. This continued with a charge of name to Senior category up to 31st December 1995 when it was dropped.

On the 1st January 1995 a 4-year subscription was introduced which remains in force to date. There is, however, no reduction for paying 4 years advanced subscription.
