Events Programme 2012

The Society organises a programme of events each year, these include talks from Society members, visiting speakers and general social evenings. All meetings start at 7.30pm with a short meeting followed by the main advertised event for the evening.

10^th January – Max Smith “Indian Mutiny”

20th & 21st January - York Coin and Stamp Fair at the Racecourse.

24^th January – Annual Committee Meeting

31st January - York Philatelic Society visits Leeds Philatelic Society

14^th February – "2d Blues" and "On the home front" by Janet Bygate. Competition entries to Janet by this meeting please.

13^th March – 64^th Annual General Meeting. Display and judging of Competition Entries. Deadline for submission of YPA Competition entries. Mini-Auction. Note: Maximum of 15 items per vendor. Auction Lot Form

10^th April - James Hartley (currently YPA president) - British Guiana

17th April York Philatelic Society visits Bradford Philatelic Society

24^th April - Members’ displays

8^th May- "Antarctica" by Bill Tillbury

12^th June – President and Vice President’s evening:

23rd June - Visit of the National Philatelic Society to York

10^th July - "China" by Rodney Knight and "Majorca Tourism" by Edith Knight

11^th September – Tony Fisher - Queen Victoria Definitives (perferated & Imperferated) –

25^th September – Min Auction. Note maximum 20 items per vendor. Auction Lot Form

9^th October – Members evening, Members’ bourse and Auction viewing

13^th November – Annual Club Auction – viewing from 7.00pm, Note: Minimum of £1 per item

11^th December – Members’ evening, with mince-pies “Mini-displays of stamps on any subject”
