Scientific background

Cooplaage is an outcome and a tool from a scientific research program of Irstea—CIRAD UMR G-EAU about :

• Multi- and inter-level water planning and management

• « Autonomised » participatory modelling , inclusion in real decision making processes using role-playing games

• Generalisation and dissemination of Companion Modelling

• Participatory monitoring of public policies

• Normative learning and social change in these processes

• Social experiments in governance and management

These researches rely on implementation and multi-dimensional evaluation of processes and their effects, in operational cases (support) or dedicated lab and field experiments.
