Introduction
What might be some rules you could use to remind you to be thankful?
Have the students write down at least five ideas on paper first.
Lesson
Together draw up a class 'Thankfulness Code of Conduct'
(Here are three examples. It's important to make up your own class one and recite it together regularly.)
1. I'll show my family that I appreciate them
2. I'll be content with what I have
3. I will find something positive about things that go wrong
Optional
Make up an action to go with each rule.
Competition
Have each student write (or type) out the Code of Conduct and decorate it.
You could make it a competition and enlarge, laminate or scan the best to make a class poster.
Alternatively the pupils could make a slide show presenting the code's rules.
Challenge
Read your code of conduct every morning. Try hard to keep it. Note any areas where you struggle and work on them.
A code of conduct is a set of rules outlining the social norms and rules and responsibilities of, or proper practices for, an individual, group or organization - Wikipedia
