Good Manners Code of Conduct https://sites.google.com/site/valueslessons
Introduction
What are some of the rules that you might use to teach someone how to show good manners?
Have the students write down their ideas.
Lesson
Together draw up a class 'Code of Polite Conduct'
It's important to make up your own class one and recite it together regularly.
Here are 3 examples:
1. I'll treat my family with respect.
2. I'll put other's feelings and needs before my own.
3. I'll keep my tone of voice and body language polite also.
Optional
Make up an action to go with each rule.
Competition
Have each student write (or type) out the Code of Conduct and decorate it.
You could make it a competition and enlarge, laminate or scan the best to make a class poster.
Alternatively the pupils could make a slide show presenting the code's rules.
Students Challenge
Read your code of conduct every morning. Try hard to keep it, especially at home with your family. Note any areas where you struggle and work on them.
A code of conduct is a set of rules outlining the social norms and rules and responsibilities of, or proper practices for, an individual, group or organization - Wikipedia
