Sauvignon Blanc
A prestigious vine most associated with eastern Loire regions, Bordeaux and, increasingly, New Zealand — whose wines have helped restore fashionability to the grape. The Cape version no longer a poor relation of these. Usually dry, but some sweet wines; sometimes wooded, more often not.
The following have been tasted or are currently in my cellar to be tasted (6):

Porcupine Ridge - Sauvignon Blanc 2008
Woolworths Nitida Cellars Sauvignon Blanc 2008
