Diemersfontein Summer's Lease 2007

I must say the two chaps from Diemersfontein has really blown me away this year with their wines. I am very fond of a good Shiraz, and this Shiraz based blend in simply one of the best wines I have ever had. As with all the other reds by Diemersfontein, this is simply superb, but even a notch better than the rest of their varieties.

This blend of Shiraz, Mouvedre and Viognier has the smell of slight oak, rich fruits and cherries, and a hint of spice. It simply overwhelms your taste-buds when you sip, and the strong lovely taste of berries and cherry, along with the distinctive Shiraz spiciness, and a touch of wood. Smooth with a nice and long tail. This is a wine which you will literally not want to share with anyone!
