Fechas importantes en la clase:
Tarea: Esta tarea es para entregar el siguiente día escolar
This assignment is due on the following school day
About WRITING assignments: More important than the quantity of words is the quality of the writing. Though “totals” are not always assigned, thoughtful writing within the norms of the grammar we have seen is crucial. Do not use translators or get help from someone else to do your writing. That is a form of cheating. You are in Spanish 3 and are expected to write at that level. If you need to look up individual words or conjugations, that is different. A good resource is spanishdict.com. Underline the words you looked up in your papers. A dictionary is good. A translator defeats the purpose of the assignment.

Let’s use some of these story telling skills we have been working on to talk about something new. Please reflect on different holidays you have celebrated in the past. Take a moment to write a description in Spanish of one holiday. Describe when it occurs, why it is celebrated, and how it is celebrated. After you complete that description, write about how your family typically celebrates that holiday followed up by a memory of one specific time you celebrated the holiday. What you should have at the end is a combination of present and past and possibly even present perfect. Within that past, you should have a combination of preterite and imperfect. We will share the stories in class. I encourage you to do your own writing. If you choose to use a translator, I’m not sure this assignment has any value whatsoever.

This is your last chance to review concepts we have studied this year and ask me questions. After our last class (simulated conversation), I will be available during the asynchronous time to clear up ANY and ALL concepts that you may have lingering doubts about. So, your homework is quite simply to review everything we’ve done this entire year and write down any burning, soul-devouring questions about concepts we’ve studied or concepts that may be on the Spanish 3 horizon. I will attempt to provide you with the proper guidance during asynchronous time in our final class day.
