The Broken Chain

There are 2 different copies of The Broken Chain circulating. On the show marked 460520 the announcer says at 00:39 seconds, "Yes, it is time for another strange tale by the Whistler. Each Wed. evening at this same time the Whistler brings you an unusual story of conflict and emotion. Tonight, "The Broken Chain'.

While the other show marked 460821 27:12 the announcer says at 00:42 seconds, Yes, it is time for another strange tale by the Whistler. Tonight, "The Broken Chain".

Checking David Goldin's log we find in addition that the 460520 is thought to be the west coast Broadcast while the 460821 is the east coast broadcast.

However, because the 29:03 show is on each Wed. evening this makes it the 460821 instead of 460520 which is a Monday date.

Thus, 460520 becomes 460821 #223 (EC) and 460821 becomes 460520 #209 (WC).

That is:

The Broken Chain (WC) 209 460520 27:11

The Broken Chain (EC) 223 460821 29:18 (or 29:12 or 29:03)
