46-09-11 A Brief Pause For Murder (East Coast) was the Chicago broadcast. That broadcast says it is on Sunday nights which rules out 460911 (Wednesday). The show can be dated to 1946 due to the ad for the movie Mysterious Intruder. That movie premiered April 11, 1946. According to Frank McGurn, the show is from 460908 and he recorded the episode from Chuck Schaden's radio, "Those Were The Days" program in about 1988.
46-09-11 A Brief Pause For Murder says to tune in next Monday for the Whistler, so the Wednesday date is wrong, but the announcer Dick Wells was the announcer for the show in September 1946. The correct date is unknown.
