We are frequent users of ChassisSim to verify some of the models we create. More information can be found at the ChassisSim website or via email.
ChassisSim (created by Danny Nowlan) is a very comprehensive fully dynamic laptime simulation package which is very useful for design and development of a number of areas on a vehicle such as:
aerodynamics
engine
gearbox
e-Motors
suspension geometry
springs and dampers
masses and mass distribution
Vehicle Models
ChassisSim keeps all the essential numerical parameters of any model in a file of *.car type.
Click on the tree structure on the left to access the models already created. We are in the process of also adding other models for:
Bugatti Chiron
Ferrari Enzo
Lamborghini Aventador S
McLaren 720S
Pagani Huayra
Porsche Carrera GT
Further models will be added shortly for Radical RXC, Ford GT, McLaren P1 GTR, Pagani Huayra BC, Porsche 962
Circuits
One of the first steps before creating a vehicle model is to decide which circuits to simulate on. Below are some useful stats of the circuits that ship included in ChassisSim:
Here below are some tracks we have used effectively:
