• Rural: Poor. Rural peasants live in Hidalgo ruled Latifundia.

• Urban: moderate to excellent, based on the caste of the individual. Holy men live in splendour, their military servants get their pick of goods and women. The servants live at the whim of their rulers.

Gender Equity: Male dominated. Smart strong willed women escape. The not so smart or unlucky end up on an altar without a heart, where their new eternal service begins.
