Agriculture : The warmer climate has blessed this region, making it far more productive with longer summers and shorter winters. The Taiga retreated farther to the north replaced by temperate rain forest and grassland, ideal for agriculture.
Commerce : Quebec attempts to maintain active trade with Saskatoon, Manhattan, the Hawkeyes and the Dakota while keeping them all at arms length. They have made it very clear that the Great Lakes and the Lawrence seaway is their border, and any attempts to expand in that direction will be met with strong resistance. Otherwise they make for good trade partners.
