The LMYC has been in full swing this summer. Our Junior Sailing School
was, once again a great success. Not only did those who participated learn
how to sail, they even participated in some races. Thanks go to our
instructors, Chris and Katie Mackey, along with Joe Fleming, for doing a
terrific job!
Sailing is a life long skill that brings smiles to the faces of our
juniors, as can be seen in the photo that accompanies this article.
We have already had two, open regattas and one third and final regatta,
the Commodore’s Cup, is scheduled for Sept. 1st. Any LMCC member,
with a sailboat of any kind is invited to participate.
Race official assignments for the balance of our 2019 racing season are as
follows:
Sept. 01 J. Miller Commodore's Cup (Sunfish Fleet)
Sept. 08 M. Marussich
Sept. 15 H. Jelinek
Sept. 22 J. Fleming
Sept. 29 K. Hauck
Oct. 06 D. Okner
Oct. 13 TBA or R. Miner
Remember, the LMYC is open to any LMCC members who are interested
in sailing. Plan to join us!
