Following the Commodore’s Cup Regatta, regular racing continued through September with the Lightnings competing on the 18th followed by the Snipes on the 25th. The rain that came on September 18 ended early so we were able to hold two races in 5 to 8 mph wind out of the southwest. Don Okner was the race official and ran the races back-to-back on a triangle course. Rich Miner captured two firsts, Joe Fleming took two seconds and Brent Cherry came in third in both races.

Mike Kelly was the official for two races on September 25 that brought three Snipes to an Olympic course. It was sunny and the variable wind that began out of the northwest came around to the southwest at 5 to 10 mph. John Marx was first in both races followed by Constance Gill taking two seconds and Howard Gooblar two third place finishes.
