The Lake Mohawk Yacht Club, Inc. is officially in its 85th year. Yes, we were incorporated in 1938—though sailing before that. Therefore, we had hoped for some good wind and weather for the last of our scheduled races in October, but Mother Nature did not cooperate. However, undaunted by the early end to our 2018 racing season, our sailors and crew wrapped things up on October 27, at the Finish Line Party, hosted by Margaret Anderson and Commodore Perry Anderson at their home. Once again, we thank them much for their hospitality.

On November 10, we had a Fall Clean-up and mast lowering. Our next event will be the the Annual Awards Party. Members should keep an eye out for an invitation. This month’s photo was taken by Ian Oldridge, who also does a great job maintaining our web site. The photo is of Perry Anderson and Don Okner skippering their Lightnings and Tim Mackey in a Snipe, rounding a mark during the 2018 Commodore’s Cup Regatta.

Remember, the LMYC is open to any LMCC members who are interested in sailing. Therefore, plan to join us. For more information, you can visit us on the web at www.lakemohawksailing.org.

Also, you can email us at lakemohawksailing@gmail.com, or write us in care of PO Box 29, Sparta, NJ.

Until next month, smooth sailing and God bless America!
