December 2017 Papoose Article

On Oct. 22, 2017, we held our Annual Meeting at the home of Commodore Perry and Margaret Anderson. While some business was conducted, the focus was social and, a good time was had by all who attended. Thanks to Perry and Margaret for, once again, opening their home to us for the event.

The business for the evening involved the election of our officers and trustees for 2018. The slate was unanimously approved. Therefore, Perry Anderson will serve as Commodore with Rich Miner as Vice Commodore, Joe Fleming as Rear Commodore, Gail Miner as Treasurer and Julie Fleming as Secretary.

Our Fleet Captains will be Brent Cherry, Lightning Fleet and John Marx, Snipe Fleet. Constance Gill was appointed as a Three Year Trustee, with Ed Snook and MaryBeth Mackey serving as Two Year Trustees and Karl Hauck and Brent Cherry as One Year Trustees.

We also extend our congratulations to Birgit Fox who was accepted into Nursing School in Florida. Nursing is a demanding program and leads to a career in a much needed profession. We sincerly wish Birgit our best for her success!

Final results for the 2017 racing season will be reported in the January, 2018 Papoose. Also, please note that we still have two, well used Sunfish and one Snipe for sale, as well as a double deck Sunfish trailer. John Marx is also selling his Lippincott Lightning.
