December 2014 Papoose Article

We wrapped up our 2014 sailing with the Lightning Fleet Fall series and the single series for the Snipe Fleet. In the Lightnings, Rich Miner took, first place followed by Perry Anderson second and Hank Jelinek third in the Fall series. The overall results for the Lightnings in the Spring and Fall series combined keeps Rich Miner in first place as fleet champion, Perry Anderson the first runner up and puts Chuck Chute in third place. The Snipe Fleet sailed a single series which was won by fleet champion John Marx and with Constance Gill the runner up. Congratulations to all who won or placed!

Our annual Awards Brunch was held on November 16, 2014 at the home of Perry and Margaret Anderson. We thank them for their hospitality. Trophies were presented to the racers and special awards went to others who helped make 2014 a successful year for our club. More will be reported about those awards on next month's Papoose.
