On March 1, Commodore Perry Anderson and Margaret Anderson held another party at their home following our second Board meeting of the year. The repeat event was even better than the first and those of us who attended once again thank Perry and Margaret. Kudos also to the cooks who prepared great food.

During the Board meeting, we continued our discussions concerning maintenance and other issues. Rear Commodore John Incantalupo plans to tackle our annual clean-up in a much more methodical manner than in the past. He will be organizing work crew for specified projects. The clean-up dates are April 18, 19 and May 2. Please be sure to give him your complete cooperation because there is much to be done.

Chuck Chute and Jan Oldridge are getting underway with their efforts to grow our membership and to solicit input from members. Please give them your cooperation as well because the objective is to provide members with the best that we can in sailing and in social activities. If you have some thoughts as to what would make our club more enjoyable give any Board member a call and share your ideas.

The Incantalupos will be key to our Junior Sailing School with John and Margie running the program. Sean has signed on for a second year as our head instructor and will be assisted by Josh Oldridge. They did a great job last year! John is also seeking the participation of experienced, sailing members to serve as back-up while lessons are in progress. So, if you plan to be available for a few days—or even better for a week—let John know.

We are really looking forward to great sailing and social events during 2009. We encourage all members to participate to the fullest extent in all that we do. Also, if you are not a member, please consider joining us. If you know how to sail, come down and race in one of our open regattas. See how much fun it is!
