4. Benjamin Johnson and Margery

Benjamin Johnson and Margery

The parents of this Benjamin and Margery are unknown.

[Lorrand 1972 - Descended from Alexander Johnston's son Edward Johnson & Elizabeth Walker]

[Lorrand 1988 - Descended from William Johnson & Sarah Massie's son William Johnson & Mary]

Benjamin Johnson and his wife Margery along with John Johnson and his wife Elizabeth Massie all first appeared in the Henrico Monthly Meeting in 1721/1722. They were neighbors and their family members attended the marriages and other events for the other family. It is likely that they were either siblings or very close cousins.

DNA results show that the descendants of Gideon are closely related to the other clusters in the Olive group.

The parents of Benjamin are uncertain and there is no definitive proof the Gideon is Benjamin's son. I am showing the entire family for Benjamin because there are a few circumstantial ties. Y-DNA test(s) from other known sons of Benjamin are needed.
