Wander with Jeff

See the sights, people, and the little things just as if you were walking or riding along with Jeff as he shares his extensive travel experiences, photographs, and videos accompanied by classical or local music.

While we try to visit the major sites we often wander the back streets and alleys getting there.
We like to share our photos, travel stores, and sometimes adventures.

  • Wander Around the French Riviera & a WWI 100 year Celebration

Wander around Menton, then visit the hill towns of Eze & Vieux Roquebrune and the coastal town of Villefranche-sur-Mer. After Cezanne's studio in Aix en Provence we visit two river towns while heading north before attending the 100th Anniversary of the WWI Army camp in Is-sur-Tille, and then see an interesting waterfall and valley. Photos and videos to music - This tour starts in Sisteron, visits Moustier-Saint-Marie, the Canyon de Verdun, the coast from Antibes to Le Lavandou, Aix en Provence, the Luberon, Avignon, Les Baux de Provence, Arles, Orange, and more from trips in 1998 and 2012. In Slovenia Jeff visited Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Lipica, and the town of Prelesje where his father's mother was born. He met and visited with 51 cousins in Slovenia and Croatia. He also visited Plitvice Lakes and Rovinj in Croatia. See some of the photos at 2013 Central Europe.

  • Paris & a Quick Tour de France

This tour starts in Paris and then tours the country by heading south-east to Lake Annecy and the Cote d'Azur, then traveling west through Provence and the Tarn River Valley. We then head down to Carcassonne and come back north through Lot and the Dordogne before ending up in the Loire river valley and Chartres. Photos from a 1998 trip.

Starts in Maine and shows photographs from 45 states ending up in Hawaii. There is a heavier emphasis on New England, the Four Corners area, and California.

This tour starts in the lake country near Salzburg, heads south to the Worther See, down to the Slovenian coast at Portoroz and Piran, up to Ljubljana, southeast to the Bela Krajina area near Stari Trg ob Kolpi and Novo Mesto, northwest to Skofja Loka, Lakes Bled and Bohinj. Quick visit to Kitzbuhl and Innsbruck before visiting Ludwig's castles in Bavaria. A quick look at Vienna can also be included, from trips in 1992 and 2000.

Shows sites from the wine regions of Champagne, Burgundy, & Alsace in France and the Mosel & Rhine River Valleys of Germany and then visit Brussels and Brugge in Belgium.

Jeff also visited the town of Is-sur-Tille in Burgundy where his grandfather was stationed in World War I to see the town and camp that were described in the many letters that he had sent home and to walk a little in his shoes. Jeff said "He died when my mother was only three years old so the letters gave us a chance to learn a little about him and some of his interests." See some of the photos at 2011 Europe.

Start at the Corn Palace and then go to the Bad Lands, the Black Hills, Mt Rushmore, Yellowstone, Tetons, & Jackson Hole with side trips to the Snake River and the Wind River Range. Photos from 1955 to 2007. The Tetons were one of my dad's favorite places.
