Scripting Test 001: Dev Trainee Promotion

Hello scripters! Domswolf here with our first scripting test. This is the test that can promote you to a Dev Trainee in the Imagination Tech group. This would indicate that you have mastered the basics of scripting, but even after this, there is still tons to learn. In fact, there is so much to learn about scripting, there could be up to four times as many scripting lessons as building lessons. This is why scripting lessons get written more frequently.

Anyways, on with the test. This will help me examine where you have gone in terms of skill and measures your growth. I really hope that many of you pass because it makes me feel awesome knowing that I've really been able to help you guys. Once you enter Beginning and Intermediate Scripting, you will have multiple teachers including Expert Developer Snapcash, with help from our former Head Developer SaphirieKV, my personal scripting teacher at this point.

Now the test is simple, using four to five of the things on this list, make something creative with what you have learned. Publish it to roblox, and send it to me so I can take a look at it. Here is the list: YOU CANNOT USE SCRIPTS COMING DIRECTLY FROM LESSONS, I WANT YOUR OWN WORK.

Change in number values (Transparency, Reflectance, etc.)

Change in color values

Auto-Running Scripts

Anything Gui related

Simple Obby Stage

An if-then statement

An if-then-else statement (or elseif)

Automatic brick movement in position or rotation

As seen from my building test, I grade on a scale of 1-5. If you get a 3, you pass the test but do not rank up for whatever reason. If you get a 4 or 5, you get to rank up. 5's are given to people who go beyond my original expectations and are no doubt the future developers of roblox (not that nobody else doesn't matter of course).
