Scripting Lesson 011: The Output

Hallo, this is Snapcash here. I brought up that there will be a Snapcash lesson, for the 2nd time ever! If you notice, I am using Comic Sans for this lesson, reason being is signature. OK, the output prints out blue text about a certain loop or function executing (or scope).

Output with a million Auto-Saves!

There are £100,000,000,000,000 to earn just by reading this:

11:11:11.111 - Making a wish...

13:41:05.525 - Auto-Saving...

Auto-Saving... every minute? Well, go to Studio settings, then scroll down to Auto-Save Interval. If you see a number too high (even 2 is too high) or too low (0 is way too low), then go ahead and change it to 1. This is to make sure that if Studio crashes on you, you've still work from a minute ago!

Also, you'd notice that it made 2 wishes today. That's just extra lines I made up. There are 3 more colours of output: black, orange, and red. By Domswolf's request with that message he sent me around 10 seconds ago from me writing this, I will type in cyan in

Oh wait, I am now writing in cyan!

Going back to the lesson, we have 3 more colours of output. Red output means an error has occurred in your script. It can also be accomplished by doing the error(string, level) function. string is what the error message says, after local time of the error occurring, in 24 hour format!

24 hour format is really MLG m8!

Back on topic, we also have the level argument of the error function. If it is set to 0, then it just prints the error out. But, if set to 1, or not even set, then UR GROUNDED GROUNDED GROUNDED 4 12345678901234567899999999999999 ages! By that, I mean that the script will open up, and high-light the erred line.

Also, we have the black output message. It can kinda only be executed when printing the print(string) function. Finally, if you see any lines with orange text, know that it is either a game error, or a call from the warn(string) function.

Note that to see the output of an online game, press F9 for the dev console. Some parts of it only work when you own the game.
