ir0012 - Tristate 200

About:

After the distance variants of brevets passing through three southern states of India, (KGF 300 and Tristate 600), IISc Randonneurs present yet another brevet passing through Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Andhra, the 'Tristate 200'.

The riders start from Silk Board Junction and descend faster towards Krishnagiri. After Krishnagiri, there awaits a short climb to reach Kuppam. From Kuppam, there is yet another (scenic) descent towards Vepanapalli, from where again climbs start towards Berigai. Endure 2 sets of 2 hairpin bends each on a silent and scenic route to reach Berigai. From Berigai, roll fast on the flat sections to reach back Bangalore

Surface:

First 90 kms of the route is 6 laned, well paved. Kuppam - Vepanapalli is single laned and rest all the sections are two laned. There are very short patches here and there in Kuppam - Berigai section, but the complete route is road bike-able.

Traffic:

First 90 kms in highways have dense traffic. Krishnagiri - Kuppam has low traffic. Kuppam - Berigai has sparse traffic (once in a while buses and cars). Berigai - Sarjapur has low traffic and Sarjapur onwards, expect dense traffic till the end.
