Route

A route map is provided below for reference. An official cue-sheet will be made available before the event.

Surface: Mostly state highways and national highways. There are a few potholed sections, particularly the IIHR road (passing adjacent to Hesaraghatta lake) and the NH 234 section near Sira. The Silvepura road, Doddabelavangala road and SH 3 have moderate surface. Rest of the route has very good surface. The onward journey till Sira (of about 155 kms) has 20kms of bad roads, 70kms of moderate to good roads and 65kms of very good roads. From Sira on, the remaining 245kms are absolute roadie scum roads.

Traffic: NH 4 has significant amounts of traffic, though it has large shoulders and should present no problems. SH 19 (Bellary-Hiriyur road) has moderate to heavy traffic. Ride carefully on this road especially after dark. NH 207 and NH 234 have moderate traffic. All the other roads have very less traffic.

Terrain: Here is the elevation profile generated by utrack.crempa.net for the route from data provided by gpsvisualizer.com, there is about 2200m of climbing.
