May 2012: Hesaraghatta 55: Loop around the Lake Populaire

The Ride

Hesaraghatta is

You'll ride through lovely rural roads which pass through grape farms and mango orchards. The ride is about 55km. Route

Surface: Roads are in good to excellent shape for most of the route. One section of about 1km has a wide sandy dirt road. A 7km section has roads in fair shape, with a very poor stretch for 10metre. Roads are split about 75:25 between narrow and two-laned.

Traffic: Roads have very low traffic, even on SH-39 to Hesaraghatta. However, you may find the occasional heavy vehicle (BMTC buses) on the route. Some roads (about 5km) in the end have medium to heavy traffic.

Terrain: Here is the elevation profile generated from the GPX by utrack.crempa.net for the route:

For a GPX you can analyze, see this attachments.

Please note map and GPX are provided for convenience only. The cue-sheet is the only official route guide.

Cue Sheet

The cue-sheet is available both in HTML and PDF versions (attached to the cue-sheet page). You may prefer the HTML form if you would like to reformat it in case the PDF has small fonts.

Please bring the cue-sheet printed with you for the ride, we may have a limited number of cue-sheets to give out.
