Gollahalli 55

The Ride

After a round of many long rides, its time for some populaires. This is a rerun of an old route - a (relatively) easy ride of 55km to Gollahalli, a small village northwest of Bangalore. The route heads out via pipeline road towards Hessarghatta, but then turns west, running along the Nelamangala railway line, then looping back via Gollahalli and Hessaghatta. Like a brevet, this populaire is a completely self-supported ride to be completed in a fixed time.

Please note that an underpass is being constructed at C N R Rao Circle. Please follow the diversions in force if you're coming from South Bangalore.

There is no provision for parking at the start point at IISc. If you are bringing your vehicle please make appropriate arrangements.

The ride is open to all cyclists regardless of their affiliation.

Online registration for the populaires is FREE. On the spot registrations will NOT BE POSSIBLE since the organisers will be riding themselves.

Rules and Regulations

Note that riders MUST bring their own copy of the cue sheet.

Since this is a daylight ride, the following rules are relaxed for this ride:

    1. You do not need to wear a reflective vest.
    2. You need not possess front or rear lights. If you do, however, they must meet the regulations.

Registration Information

You must register online using the BrevetManager website.

Online registrations are free. Online registrations will close automatically on Jan 31, 2012, 6PM.

You will need to sign a waiver at the start, if you haven't done so already.
