This populaire is one of the most beautiful routes offered by the IISc Rando, taking riders west into the green forested regions around Savandurga (Asia's largest monolith) and Manchanbele reservoir. With lots of rolling roads, the route provides good training for beginner and experienced randonneurs alike. Note that this route has some steep ascents and descents. Like a brevet, this populaire is a completely self-supported ride to be completed in a fixed time. Note that brevets and populaires are not competitive rides.Ride Summary

Please make sure you're fit enough to ride a challenging rolling route and your bicycle is is good repair, especially the brakes.
The ride is open to all cyclists regardless of their affiliation.
Online registration for the populaires is FREE. On the spot registrations will NOT BE PERMITTED.

Since this is a daylight ride, the following rules are relaxed for this ride:
- You do not need to wear a reflective vest.
- You need not possess front or rear lights. If you do, however, they must meet the regulations.

Online registrations are free. Online registrations close automatically on Feb 13, 2014, 23:50H.
Please note that there are NO on-the-spot registrations for this ride due to logistical constraints.
You will need to sign a waiver at the start, if you haven't done so already.
