The Railroad Brevet (Gauribidanur 200)

The Ride

Gauribidanur 200 Railroad brevet poster

For our first Non-ACP brevet we introduce the Railroad brevet - a route through the beautiful outskirts north of Bangalore. Starting from IISc, riders will head north via Jalahalli, Yelahanka Satellite town and Doddaballapur. The ride past Makalidurga Railway Station captures the view of a beautiful valley all the way till Gauribidanur. The only significant climb is en route to Chikaballapura; it is short but features some steep sections. Riders then head east to Sidlaghatta and then take the scenic State highway south to Hoskote. After a small detour through the semi-urban areas of Bagalur and Sathnur, the ride back to the end control at IISc is on the Bangalore-Hyderabad expressway (NH7).

This is a non competitive, self-supported ride.

Non-ACP Event

This event is NOT sanctioned by the ACP (Audax Club Parisien). Completing this event DOES NOT count towards ACP awards like Super Randonneur, R5000 etc. In that sense this event is just like a Populaire.

However, a completed ride counts towards Club Awards like NSR, Distance, R60/70/80, etc.
