ir0005 - Gollahalli 55

About

This quiet and easy route heads northwest from IISc, towards Hessaraghatta, but heads further west to Gollahalli, a small village northwest of Bangalore. The route heads out first along Pipeline road and then the Nelamangala railway line, before looping back via Gollahalli and Hessaghatta village.

Route

Surface: Roads are in good condition for most of the route. The last part of pipeline road (~0.5 km) is a gravel road. A small section (at about 17km from the start) is a hard packed mud road. Please ride carefully, especially if it has rained.

Traffic: All roads have very low traffic, however the state highway at Gollahally has fast moving vehicles.

Terrain: The route has very gentle gradients. The elevation profile generated from the GPX by utrack.crempa.net is shown below.

For a GPX you can analyze, see this attachment.

Please note map and GPX are provided for convenience only. The cue-sheet is the only official route guide.

Cue-sheet

The cue sheet is available here as html. There are photos of two important turnoffs attached there.

There is a PDF version for A4 size printing also.

Riders are expected to bring their OWN copy of the cue sheet.
